Passikuda is a coastal resort town located in the east coast of Sri Lanka. Pasikuda is known to have one of the longest stretches of shallow coastline in the world. In other words, people can walk many kilo meters into the ocean which is only a few inches deep with crystal clear water and very low currents. It is a bay protected by the ocean. It is popular for having a flat bed with soft sand which is pleasant on the feet. This beach is located next to Kalkuda to the south and Vakarai to the north, both world famous beaches which is still un spoilt ideal for sea bathing.
